For a donation or pledge of $200, you can sponsor a stud that will be used to build a Habitat home.

What is a stud?
No, it’s not a person! A stud is a 2×4 piece of wood that is used to frame a home. Each stud is 9ft long. It takes up to 300 studs to frame a home, so every donation makes a difference!
Who can sponsor or host a stud?
Anyone can sponsor! We encourage individuals, groups, churches, organizations, schools, local businesses, and corporate teams – the more the merrier!
You can also pledge to raise at least $200 and gather your community to help fund and personalize your stud(s)! Businesses can set up a stud-decorating display with a donation jar and markers for their patrons to sign.

Why should I sponsor a stud?
Your tax-deductible donation will leave a lasting impact on our Habitat homeowner family and the surrounding community. The funds from sponsored studs will support the construction of affordable, safe homes in our very own neighborhoods and will benefit local families in need.
How can I design my stud?
Decorate your stud however you’d like, but please be mindful that any foreign objects adhered to the stud will be removed. Showcase your company logo, write a heartfelt message to the family, draw a picture, paint it pink, sign your name, etc. The possibilities are endless!
Where do I pick up my stud? When do I need to return it?
Pick up and return your stud at 1115 Gemini St, Suite 174, Houston, TX 77058. Our office operates Monday – Friday from 9am – 5pm.
Please return your stud by July 31.
Can I sponsor more than 1 stud?
Absolutely! We encourage you to sponsor as many studs as you would like.

What is the special preview party?
With your sponsorship, you will be invited to our “Stud-Finder” preview where you can meet the family and see where your stud(s) ended up in the framework of the home.
